The successful candidate will be supporting the client facing teams within contractual and commercial negotiations, as well as supporting practitioners on engagement risk management.

The role will also involve supporting the business on jurisdictional legislation across the Middle East (including Free Zones). This is a unique opportunity to engage in cross-border collaboration with Deloitte professionals across the Deloitte network, broadening your knowledge and building your competencies and skills.

The successful candidate’s key responsibilities include, among others:

Contract Review & Negotiation

·       Draft and review all types of contracts and transactional documents including but not limited to Services Agreements, Master Services Agreements and Framework Agreements, Statements of Work (SOW), Purchase Orders (PO), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Undertaking Letters, Change Orders, Contract addenda and other contractual arrangements to assess legal, reputational, or other risks. ​

·       Conduct and lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors and third parties as applicable and be able to come up with alternative solutions to contracting issues. ​

·       Lead internal discussions and escalations with engagement teams, partners of the business and other internal stakeholders (such as business risk leaders, directors of independence, security and privacy teams, Office of General Counsel, etc.). ​

·       Provide legal and legal risk management advice on contracts.

·       Communicate expectations and standards with key stakeholders.

Understanding the Business:

·       Deep understanding of the different service and product offerings delivered together with their inherent risks.

    • Understand key objectives for clients and Deloitte, align people to objectives and set priorities and direction.
    • Identifying legal and contractual risks and supporting the engagement teams with appropriate mitigations

·       Manage and lead a team of lawyers and be responsible for their day-to-day workload, escalations, leave management and overall performance including setting SMART objectives and developments.
