Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in finance, with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience, including exposure to Corporate Tax laws in UAE and KSA and the Middle East region
  • Strong knowledge of UAE and KSA Corporate Tax laws and basic understanding of Corporate Tax in other Middle East countries, familiarity with Withholding Tax (WHT) implications, experience in tax advisory, compliance, and tax governance.
  • Objective: Assist the Tax Manager in managing internal projects from a tax governance and control perspective, supporting Corporate Tax and WHT compliance and advisory activities across the Middle East region with a special focus on UAE and KSA Jurisdiction.

Role and Responsibilities:
- 

  • Provide support and advice to business lines on various transactions from a Corporate Tax perspective.
  • Assist in identifying tax risks and exposures during transaction reviews.
  • Review Corporate Tax and Withholding Tax filings across the Middle East prior to submission to tax authorities.
  • Support the review of tax restructuring projects and assist in addressing related tax implications from a CT and WHT lens.
  •  Assist business lines with accounting transactions related to tax (CT), including tax provisions and deferred taxes.
  • Support the review of tax provisions and estimates for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Identify withholding tax impact on cross-border transactions and advise on compliance documentation requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing information required during tax audits and assessments by tax authorities.
  • Assist in periodic review and update of group tax policy, compliance checklists and SOPs
  • Regular monitoring and updating of tax risk register and ensuring addressal of risks by relevant teams.
  •  Assist in monitoring the tax compliance trackers
  •  Regular monitoring of tax registration records of group entities in KSA and ensuring updating them.
  •  Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement tax compliance controls.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to address tax-related issues and support tax compliance procedures.
  • Monitor tax regulatory developments and communicate their impact to finance teams.
  •  Help create Tax awareness and support training initiatives within finance teams
  • Support the central tax team in managing and monitoring various internal projects such as IT system implementation projects from a CT and WHT lens
  • Demonstrate elementary understanding of project management.
