Technical Capabilities:
- on experience (10–15 years) designing, implementing and maturing enterprise data management capabilities across the oil and gas industry with specific, recent experience in the Upstream sector.
- Deep working knowledge of data management frameworks and standards such as DAMA, DCAM, CDMP, CMMI’s DMM, PPDM (Professional Petroleum Data Management) and relevant national standards (e.g., NDMO for KSA). Ability to map/align these standards to client operating models.
- Proven delivery experience across the following data domains: data governance, metadata management, data quality, master & reference data management, data architecture, or data lineage/integration.
- Experience implementing data management artefacts: governance operating models, policies, standards, business glossaries, data catalogues, data dictionaries, enterprise data models and stewardship processes tailored to oil & gas needs.
- Practical experience with leading data management tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica Axon, OneTrust, Erwin, Talend, Alation) and integration with cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with Informatica is a plus.

- Ability to collaborate and translate between data engineers, architects, data scientists, OT/IT teams and senior business stakeholders to design pragmatic, secure and operational data solutions.

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10 –15 years’ experience in data management or related disciplines, with significant, demonstrable exposure to the oil & gas industry (both upstream & downstream).
- Proven track record leading data governance, metadata, data quality or master data programmes in ER&I/oil & gas clients.
- Experience leading proposal development, BD activities and managing client relationships.
- Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills; fluent English (written & spoken).
- Knowledge of data management platforms and cloud ecosystems; comfortable with OT/IT integration challenges in industrial environments
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Consulting/Big Four is a must, leading consulting firms or global system integrators is a plus.
- Experience with International Oil Companies (IOCs) is preferred.
- Arabic language is a plus.
- Professional Certification in DAMA, DCAM, CDMP or CMMI’s DMM is a plus
