Role Purpose
The Finance Business Partner – Cyber Portfolio acts as a strategic finance advisor to the Cyber leadership team, enabling informed decision-making through commercial insight, performance management, and forward-looking analysis.
The role goes beyond reporting and focuses on value creation, financial optimization, and growth enablement, partnering closely with Portfolio Leads, Offering Leaders, and the COO office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Partnering
- Act as the primary finance counterpart to the Cyber Portfolio leadership
- Translate portfolio strategy into financial implications and actions
- Challenge assumptions, identify risks & opportunities, and support decision-making
2. Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budget and rolling forecast cycles (3+9, 6+6, etc.)
- Develop scenario and sensitivity analyses (pipeline, utilization, pricing)
- Own forecast accuracy and provide clear explanations for variances
3. Performance Management & Insights
- Own Cyber P&L performance (Revenue, GM, Direct Costs, Overheads)
- Identify margin leakage and drive profitability improvement initiatives
- Monitor utilization, recovery rates, and workforce productivity
4. Revenue, Pipeline & Commercial Oversight
- Partner with Cyber leadership on revenue forecasting and pipeline conversion
- Support pricing reviews, margin assessments, and deal approvals
- Track contract performance, rebates, write-ups/downs, and risks
- Ensure revenue recognition assumptions are commercially sound
5. Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement
- Present insights to Senior Leadership, Partners, and COO
- Act as a trusted advisor in leadership forums and portfolio reviews
- Collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and Operations teams
Skills & Capabilities
1. Technical & Analytical- Strong FP&A, forecasting, and financial modeling skills
- Excellent understanding of professional services economics
- Advanced Excel & Power BI (or equivalent) capabilities
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
- Strong commercial acumen and business judgment
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders without authority
- Confident communicator with executive presence
- Proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset
Experience & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A / Finance Business Partnering
- Experience in Consulting, Technology, Cyber, or Professional Services preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
