Overview:
As an Integration Engineer within Deloitte’s Technology and Transformation Engineering practice, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting integration solutions that enable seamless connectivity between diverse enterprise systems. Working closely with architects, developers, and business stakeholders, you will ensure reliable data exchange, automation, and system interoperability to support digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, configure, and deploy integration solutions using middleware platforms, APIs, and automation tools.
· Build and maintain data pipelines, ETL jobs, and API integrations to ensure accurate and timely data flow.
· Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize integration workflows to enhance performance and reliability.
· Collaborate with architects and business analysts to translate integration requirements into technical designs.
· Design and execute integration test plans to validate functionality, performance, and security.
· Monitor integration processes and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime.
· Implement logging, alerting, and error-handling mechanisms to support operational stability.
· Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
· Possess knowledge and adhere to integration standards, security policies, and governance frameworks established by the architecture team.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and security to ensure seamless integration delivery.
· Participate in knowledge sharing, training, and continuous learning initiatives to stay current with integration technologies and best practices.
· Support automation efforts to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
· 3+ years of hands-on experience in integration development, middleware, or API engineering roles.
· Proficiency with integration platforms and tools such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, IBM webMethods or similar.
· Strong knowledge of API protocols and data formats including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
· Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and automation tools is a plus.
· Familiarity with cloud integration concepts and hybrid environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred.
· Understanding of security standards related to integration (e.g. OAuth, JWT, TLS).
· Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues and optimize performance.
· Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
· Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Relevant integration platform certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Developer, Dell Boomi Associate).
· Cloud certifications or scripting/programming credentials are advantageous.
