The Power BI & Reporting Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Power BI and other reporting tools. This role involves analyzing complex data sets, analysing financial information and performance, creating visualizations, and delivering insightful reports to support business decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Analyze large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Create interactive visualizations that facilitate data exploration and understanding.
- Report Development:
- Design, build, and deploy business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
- Develop and manage automated reporting processes.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of data presented in reports and dashboards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and requirements.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and reporting tools.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data visualization and business intelligence.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting processes and tools.
- Provide recommendations for data-driven decision-making.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Develop complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
- Understand and interpret financial information.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across different reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI and other reporting tools.
- Other:
- Support other roles within the Operations and Change Management workstream.

- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year experience proven in a similar role such as Power BI Developer, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
- Proficiently utilize DAX functions and expressions within Power BI or other BI tools to develop complex measures, calculated columns, and advanced analytics solutions.
- Proven ability to analyst large data sets to extract insights and KPIs needed for strategic and business decision making.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial ratios and measures.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent in MS office especially Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI and DAX skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or R.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
