As a Network Access Design Consultant, you can expect to be involved in the following:

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, such as Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) or Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access, for diverse clients across various industries.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client network architectures, security postures, and remote access needs to identify risks and design tailored ZTNA solutions.
  • Develop and implement detailed ZTNA deployment plans, including network segmentation strategies, access policies, application segmentation, and integration with existing security infrastructure (e.g., IAM, MFA, SIEM).
  • Provide technical expertise and hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting ZTNA solutions like Zscaler ZPA or Palo Alto Prisma Access.
  • Establish and maintain secure remote access for employees, contractors, and partners to critical applications and resources, adhering to Zero Trust principles.
  • Continuously monitor and optimize ZTNA performance, security, and user experience.
  • Develop and deliver technical documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to client teams on ZTNA solutions and best practices.
  • Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices related to ZTNA and Zero Trust security.

To succeed in this role, you will need to match the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing and managing Zero Trust Network Access solutions, specifically Zscaler ZPA or Palo Alto Prisma Access.
  • Deep understanding of Zero Trust principles, methodologies, and their application to network security and remote access.
  • Extensive experience with ZTNA technologies, including Zscaler ZPA or Palo Alto Prisma Access, and a strong understanding of their architecture, components, and deployment models.
  • Expertise in network security concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, network segmentation, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and secure access service edge (SASE).
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM) principles and technologies, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Experience with scripting and automation for security tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver complex security solutions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Industry-recognized Zero Trust certifications (e.g., Forrester Zero Trust certifications, NIST Cybersecurity Framework certifications).
  • Zscaler Certified Professional (ZCP) or Zscaler Certified Design Specialist (ZCDS)
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or Palo Alto Networks Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE)
  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications are a plus.
