The DME CEO’s Office team is responsible for supporting the CEO in all aspects of DME strategy, the FY28 ambition, stakeholder management, including the broader Executive group, planning and operations – from enabling appropriate focus and oversight of the Shared Agenda, to planning and running DME CEO meetings. The team also enables the DME CEO to be an effective and impactful ambassador externally in the market with Deloitte clients globally, Strategic Partners (e.g. WEF, UN), regulators and other stakeholders, and internally with Deloitte NSE and Geo PPMDs and other professionals. The team includes experts from across: strategy and advisory, growth, communications and operations.

Core Responsibilities:

Strategic Communications Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with the firm’s vision and objectives.
• Speechwriting and Messaging: Create impactful speeches and key messages that reflect the leadership’s voice and strategic priorities.
• Advisory on Communications and Messaging Evolution: Offer expert advice on communication tactics, continually refining messaging and platform themes to enhance clarity and impact across all channels.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading the DME CEO’s communications strategy this includes driving innovative communications practices to maximize impact. Develop and manage the forward-looking CEO communications planning, considering major worldwide, NSE and Deloitte Middle East events, special days, holidays etc.
  • Ensure an effective and engaging mix of communications channels and format that speak to the DME CEO’s core target audiences.
  • Enhance the DME CEO’s visibility with local and international audiences, advancing their position as a global leader on set campaign themes.
  • Write and edit a wide range of communications materials for the DME CEO, including speeches, formal/informal remarks, op-ed articles, video messages, talking points, and written communications to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. MF partners, clients, regulators, strategic partners) on issues that cover the full spectrum of the DME CEO's platform themes and other topics appropriate for the DME CEO to speak to. This involves seeking input on/researching and drafting texts designed to persuade high-level audiences, and ensuring the DME CEO is briefed with the necessary understanding/background knowledge to handle live Q&A.
  • Work with the DME CEO Chief of Staff, BCM team members and other teams within the organization to ensure communications are closely aligned with the DME CEO's campaign themes, the DME CEO tone of voice, the Deloitte brand positioning and relevant for the specific audience.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of current affairs and topics relevant to the DME CEO platform themes.
  • Review and edit draft texts to ensure accuracy, clarity, appropriate tone of voice and effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistency of messages and promotion of communications through various written publications and digital platforms and external outlets.
  • Independently conceptualize content, conduct research, and fact-check communications across various platforms.
  • Ensure that speeches and other communications are reviewed by risk and legal, as appropriate.
  • Oversee the strategy, management and creation of strong content for the DME CEO's social media accounts e.g. LinkedIn.
  • Ensure adherence to institutional brand and key messages, maintaining consistency in style, tone, and accuracy across all materials - following the latest Deloitte Language and Style guide.
  • Vet and pursue media opportunities in collaboration with the Public Relations team, including public appearances and op-eds.
  • Align with other communications leaders from across Global, NSE and Geos to ensure alignment between the DME CEO's communications and that of other leaders, as well as ensuring appropriate involvement of Comms/PR team as needed.

Qualification:

  • Strong and relevant experience developing and delivering impactful communications strategies and speech writing for senior leadership.
  • Must have strong grasp of English and Arabic written and verbal communication style in order to produce appropriate speeches for the DME CEO.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the capacity to take initiative and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion in sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency in engaging with senior executives to drive communication strategies for both internal and external audiences.
  • Knowledgeable about high-level external and internal communication strategies and tactics, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders across various channels.
