This is an expert software engineer and leader role with knowledge of Continuous Delivery and industry leading practices used in creating scalable, highly resilient solutions.
- Mobile Development experience - iOS-: Undertake end-to-end iOS mobile development from requirement analysis and design to implementation and deployment.
- Expert skills in Swift for iOS and UIKit.
- Some experience with SwiftUl
- Functional and object oriented design patterns including DDD.
- Knowledge of accessibility needs and how to solve for them.
- Monitoring and fixing performance issues.
- Designing secure applications and fixing security issues.
- Automated functional testing.
- Knowledge of Cocoapods.
- Architecture Design: Design scalable and maintainable application architectures, ensuring efficient implementation of architectural patterns.
- Leadership: Leading design decisions, establishing the engineering approach used by the team, coaching and guiding other software engineers.
- Liaising with external stakeholders such as engineers in other teams, architects or infrastructure teams.
- Explaining complex technical issues with key stakeholders with a non-technical background. Version Control and Collaboration: Utilize version control systems like Git for collaborative development, ensuring code quality and smooth integration of features from multiple team members.
- Agile development methods: Follow Test Drive Development as a professional discipline to create software. Comfortable doing pair programming.
- Testing: Working knowledge of modern testing tools.
- Test driven development for iOS
- Behaviour-driven development/Specification by example
- DevOps: Practical experience in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
- Security Considerations: Implement security best practices, including data encryption, user authentication, and authorization mechanisms, to safeguard the application from potential threats.
- Performance Optimization: Analyse and optimize application performance, identifying bottlenecks and implementing strategies to enhance speed and responsiveness.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address feedback, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Other useful experience:
- Microservice Architectures. Swift on the Server (Vapor) experience.
- Comfortable with VIPER (to make changes).
- Knowledge of multiple Architectures and when to use them.
- Deploying to the cloud infrastructure Kubernetes and Google cloud platform.
- Knowledge of the OWASP Top Ten Gitlab CI, Bitrise CI

- Mobile Development experience - iOS-: Undertake end-to-end iOS mobile development from requirement analysis and design to implementation and deployment.
- Containers: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Version Control: Competence in using Git for version control, branching, and collaborating effectively with other team members on codebases.
- Basic DevOps Skills: Experience with basic deployment practices.
- Cloud experience: Experience with GCP.
- Debugging and Troubleshooting: Skill in identifying and resolving bugs, errors, and performance issues across the entire application stack.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with industry trends and learning new technologies through online courses, coding communities, and self-driven projects.
