During your tenure as an Assistant Manager/Manager in the Sports Business Group, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

Client Delivery

  • Using knowledge and insight of the sports business market, advise clients to enable transformational change, resolving significant challenges and ultimately enhancing value and fuelling opportunities for growth.
  • Gain experience across a variety of sports advisory assignments, including but not limited to: business planning, place-based growth advisory, competition strategy, governance, financial regulations and major event advisory.  
  • Manage, or be a key contributor to, project teams to deliver an impact that matters for our clients.
  • Be comfortable working to project deadlines, adding value on high-profile and sensitive projects.
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Deliver sports business, finance, and commercial analysis.
  • Develop client relationships as part of project delivery.
  • Assist in developing high-quality outputs for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the sports industry, either with a rights holder e.g., club, league, federation etc. or through involvement in sports projects with a top tier professional services firm.
  • A relevant Degree or MBA.
  • Proven interest in, and understanding of, the sports business market.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • An ability to draft insightful, relevant text, delivering messaging succinctly.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel.
  • A committed, flexible, and team-oriented working style.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.
  • A strong career and academic record.
  • A broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them.
