Experienced Associate – Accounts Payable

During your tenure as an Experienced Associate – Accounts Payable, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas: 

  • Receive, review, and verify accuracy of vendor invoices with proper coding and approvals.
  • Enter invoice details into the accounting system for processing.
  • Schedule and process payments for approved invoices, coordinating with other departments to secure timely approvals and payment authorizations. Utilize electronic payment methods and issue physical checks as required
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies promptly, and negotiate payment terms
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and generate required reports.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, assisting in audits as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, finance) to streamline processes and resolve issues.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting

Qualifications:

  • Accounting degree or equivalent
  • 2-4 years’ experience in the accounts payable or a similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
