During your tenure as an Assistant Director in Financial Advisory, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:
• Helps client make confident decisions based on sophisticated analyses of available information to drive deal success
• Leads engagements and provides strategic direction to the team to deliver a superior client experience
• Develops relationships, establishes credibility with, and instills confidence in clients
• Understands drivers of growth, profitability, and cash flow as well as a client’s financial statements and key performance measures
• Identifies relevant business trends, economic forces, and industry practices and can confidently discuss with the client
• Advises client to make decisions that positively impact return on investment; provides subject matter expertise on sector trends and leading practices
• Sets direction regarding the development and compliance of standards, guidelines, and service agreements
• Maximizes deal value by influencing the business on financial and operational decisions in transaction area of expertise
• Combines expertise in one stage of a transaction with a deep understanding of a particular industry/sector and advises on integration points an critical focus areas
• Builds and improves client’s underlying alliance capabilities in identifying, evaluating, negotiating, implementing, managing, and governing alliances — based on Deloitte leading practices, frameworks, and methodologies
• Participates and leads aspects of the proposal development process, ensuring all integration solutions are compatible with overall architecture goals, product strategy, and standards
• Develops an effective and realistic funding strategy tailored to client’s development plans and related financing requirements
• Advises client on complex infrastructure and capital projects by applying market leading expertise and in-depth knowledge of local markets and infrastructure asset types
• Provides industry and functional experience as well as peer group benchmarking of financial metrics to help clients identify performance gaps and drive data driven decision-making

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or any related field
• A recognised accountancy or relevant financial qualification
• 10+ years of experience in financial consulting within the government, a private sector bidder or another advisory firm working on one or more of: PPP, project finance, outsourcing, or similar service contracts
• Expertise in the funding and financing of major projects, gained from either working within government or as an adviser
• An excellent understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of government infrastructure and/or service contracts;
• Experience of working with financial models and government business cases or strategy deliverables;
• An understanding of public sector procurement procedures
• Experience of designing and building complex financial models; business case and/or report writing
• A track record of successful business development and originating new business in an advisory context
• Experience of working with contractual documentation for government infrastructure and/or service contracts
• Dedication to delivering quality results;
• Ability to multi-task and appreciation of the commitments to working within an advisory practice
• A logical and methodical approach to problem solving, with an ability to think laterally
• Good project management skills and an understanding of governance requirements and risks
• Demonstrate strong team leadership skills and the ability to manage team members deliver projects

• Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy particularly with spreadsheets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
