During your tenure as a Payroll Accountant Manager in Audit & Assurance, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas: 

  • Lead and supervise a payroll team covering several countries and service lines over GCC.
  • Execute all policies, procedures, local regulations pertaining to payroll administration and processing over all countries.
  • Review and approve monthly payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment for all the employees.
  • Ensure workflow is followed over all countries.
  • Maintain monthly timeline for the payroll cycle that covers all countries.
  • Coordinate between the payroll accountants and HR, business finance, employees.. to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Ensure the payroll system is working properly, all variables are captured, and social security is calculated properly.
  • Rotate the payroll team members over all countries.
  • Enhance the payroll process by creating automations.
  • Connect with the vendor and ensure all local regulations are implemented correctly and take immediate action when changes are applied.
  • Knowledge about WPS, and all aspects of payroll processes, payments and maintaining up-to-date payroll records in ERP software.
  • Supervise accurate data records, process monthly payrolls, reconciliation of payroll figures, ensure audit compliance, prepare & report on monthly MIS, provide staff guidance & procedures related to payroll and ensure HR services provided are as per agreed service levels
  • Prepare and process final settlement and end of service of separated staff.
  • Prepare, reconcile, and update the Payroll budget along with the calculation of the cost rate
  • Reconciliation of headcount to ensure new joiners and leavers are accounted on time
  • Maintain records and reports related to UAE Pension scheme
  • Prepare all the templates and reports related to Payroll reconciliation for External & Internal Audit along with the ICV requirements

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 8 years of practical hands-on experience.
  • CPA, CMA or ACCA are mandatory
  • Well versed with GCC labor laws.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
  • Pleasant, approachable, and professional conduct.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to analyze data with high attention to detail.
  • Actively manage expectations and escalate matters where necessary.
  • Exceptional attitude, self-starter, team player and process oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Advanced knowledge in excel is a must, knowledge of Microsoft D365 is a plus.
