Accounting Advisory - Financial instruments -Senior Manager:
During your tenure as a Senior Manager in Accounting Advisory, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

  • Identify, prepare, and participate in proposals for new clients and projects
  • Be active in the marketplace and build relationships to grow the business
  • Develop, maintain, and leverage internal contacts across Deloitte businesses
  • Be a trusted advisor to public and private clients to assist with accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Stay connected to market trends to think through future innovative solutions.
  • Managing credit risk processes, performing underwriting, credit analysis and assigning risk ratings (e.g., single, and dual risk rating frameworks), writing and reviewing risk management policies and procedures, 1st and 2nd line of defense experience; 
  • Developing, applying, and validating commercial and retail credit risk methodologies including obligor and facility risk rating (e.g., PD, LGD, EAD) models, pricing models, etc.; 
  • Creating and executing design and application of commercial and retail credit risk reporting and analytics in a financial services organization; 
  • Possessing knowledge of Allowance for Credit Losses, including methodology, models, under Expected Credit Losses (ECL) and knowledge of IFRS 9; 
  • Selecting, implementing and/or using commercial and retail credit risk workflow, analytic tools - e.g., Moody's, S&P, nCino, and/or, reporting technologies; 
  • Demonstrating familiarity with commercial and retail credit regulatory guidance covering CECL, credit risk review systems, underwriting/annual reviews.
  • Assist clients in preparing for and completing audits and liaising with the auditors.
  • Working with other Deloitte service lines (such as Financial Advisory Services, Tax and Consulting) in delivering the accounting advisory workstream for multi-service line projects.
  • Supervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct

Qualifications:

  • CPA/CA/ACCA certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 8 years of public accounting or equivalent experience
  • 4 years of experience in managing and supervising teams
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS is essential
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Good project and time management skills
  • Good report writing skills and an ability to clearly document facts, issues and resolutions of complex accounting matters
  • Ability to read complex documents, synthesize and summarize important facts
  • Ability to think creatively, problem solve and work independently on multiple engagements
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and growing the business
  • Experience in researching and clearly documenting accounting issues and applicable accounting standards
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams with team members at all levels
  • Strong on-the-job training skills and a desire to teach.
