Position Summary:
As a PRO Associate/Senior Associate within Deloitte’s Global Employer Services (GES) team, you will play a key role in supporting compliance and governmental liaison activities related to immigration, and labor laws for our clients. You will ensure timely processing of government-related documentation and act as a point of contact between clients and UAE government entities, contributing to the smooth operation of our clients’ workforce planning and mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process government applications for employment visas, labor permits, work permits, and other relevant approvals in compliance with UAE laws and regulations.
- Liaise professionally with various UAE government departments, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), and other regulatory bodies related to employment and immigration.
- Support the onboarding and relocation process for expats under Deloitte clients’ employment, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Keep abreast of updates and changes to UAE labor, immigration, and sponsorship laws and communicate applicable changes to internal teams and clients.
- Maintain accurate records of all submissions and communications with government entities.
- Assist the GES team with other administrative and compliance-related tasks as necessary.
- Facilitate and maintain effective relationships with MOHRE and other UAE governmental entities (including Freezone entities) to support our clients
- Support team efforts in delivering exceptional service and solutions to clients, enhancing their experience with tax-related mobility services.
Requirements:
- Emirati National, with a valid family book.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (1-3 years) in a PRO role or similar capacity within a law firm, consultancy, or government-related setting.
- Strong understanding of UAE labor law, visa procedures, and government regulations related to expatriate employment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in English and Arabic.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- This role will involve responsibilities both inside and outside the office.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Demonstrate commitment to punctuality, arriving on time for prior commitments.
