We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) team and play a pivotal role in advancing our CR&S initiatives and strategies related to Sustainability and Societal Impact. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for driving internal ESG reporting, supporting the execution of internal sustainability practices, collaborating with various stakeholders, creating and managing projects, and supporting ongoing programs and external collaborations. Your contributions will be instrumental in furthering our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
During your tenure as an Assistant Manager in the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) team, you will demonstrate your capabilities in the following areas:
- Contribution to strategy development: Work closely with the CR&S team to design and implement strategies that are in line with Deloitte Middle East’s CR&S goals and objectives.
- ESG Reporting: Manage internal ESG reporting including data collection, audit, analysis, stakeholder coordination, report creation, and submission.
- Data analysis: Utilize data analysis to identify opportunities for sustainable improvements and reductions in environmental footprint.
- Documentation: Prepare high-end reports, presentations, and documentation, maintaining a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Stakeholder engagement: Engage various internal stakeholders in understanding and advancing Deloitte’s sustainability strategy.
- Program implementation: Support the implementation of centrally managed CR&S programs and initiatives (by conducting research, drafting documents, developing communication materials, etc.).
- Internal collaboration: Participate in meetings with Global and regional teams, in addition to other member firms to understand global strategies, recent developments, tools and technologies to be launched and support the preparation of Deloitte Middle East programs for such changes.
- External collaborations: Support in coordinating and fostering collaborations both internally and externally to advance sustainability practices and initiatives.
- Employee engagement: Develop and implement strategies to engage employees at all levels in sustainability initiatives, promoting a culture of cooperation on sustainability within the organization.
- Communication plans: Develop and execute internal and external CR&S communication plans aimed at enhancing social and climate awareness and engagement. Contribute in creating content for a monthly internal CR&S newsletters and other internal communication channels.
- Content creation: Craft narratives that showcase the organization's sustainable / social commitments and impact.
- CR&S policies: Contribute to the creation of internal CR&S related policies.
- Technology adoption: Contribute to the review and testing of CR&S related tools, platforms, and learning materials. Provide recommendations for the adoption of new tools and technologies that enhance sustainability practices.
- Innovation: Support the development of new innovative sustainability initiatives that support Deloitte’s overarching sustainability strategy.
- Research & reporting: Conduct research on various CR&S projects and provide ad-hoc reports in line with the business needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 7-8 years of work experience, preferably in a multinational firm.
- Education:
- Masters degree (preferable) in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Science, Public Policy, Communication, Business Management or related fields.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Science, Public Policy, Communication, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Strong skills in data analytics, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented and conscientious.
- Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills; with an ear for authentic, persuasive language, strong listening skills, and quick understanding of audience and content.
- Ability to communicate professionally with partners and high-level executives.
- Proficient copy-writing style and proof-reading ability.
- Problem-solving, strategic thinking abilities, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team and uphold high ethical standards.
- Strong commitment to personal learning and development.
- Advanced level of technical proficiency and computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Management).
- Perfect command of Arabic and English.
